Liberty Creek
strives to breed the best all around Labrador for show,
field, and companion, which is a quality dog with sound temperament
and health.
In my breeding program, I believe Labradors should be
true to the AKC breed standard as well as free from inheritable health
conditions. I place my puppies in wonderful life long homes. All of my
breeding labs have been screened by Orthopedic Foundation for Animals
joint and eye clearances including CERF and Optigen and stud dogs have
DNA profiles.
All my labrador puppies are whelped and raised in my home, so
they are the center of constant attention. They leave for their new
homes no sooner than 8 weeks of age. Before they leave with their new
families, they had been dewormed at 2, 3, 4, and 6 weeks and receive
their first vaccine. They are also microchipped. New
owners received a puppy folder containing a record of immunization,
health and training booklets, a litter pedigree, copies of parent's
health clearances and an American Kennel Club registration application
My puppies are well socialized to include people,
children, dogs, toys, and kiddie pool (weather permitting).
My puppies also come with paperwork including
information feeding, socializing, care and training tips for the
puppy. I recommend you locate a 'puppy kindergarten' class.
Almost all of Liberty Creek puppies are sold on
AKC "Limited
Registration"
I take deposits once the mother has been
confirmed to be pregnant and/or puppies have been whelped.

have OFA clearances and yearly ACVO eye exams. We ask all
prospective buyers to submit a
puppy questionnaire.
Most puppies adopted from Liberty Creek Labradors are on Limited
Registration. Limited Registration means that the dog is eligible
for registration with the American Kennel Club, however, any
offspring produced by the dog would not be eligible. Furthermore,
dogs which are registered with a limited registration are
ineligible to enter bench competition (dog shows); they are,
however, eligible to enter all other AKC events including, but not
limited to field trials, hunt tests, obedience trials, and agility
trials. Most puppies purchased through Liberty Creek Labradors are
adopted as companion dogs by owners who have no interest in
breeding or showing; therefore, limited registration will have no
bearing on these dogs.
Dogs adopted under limited registration are ineligible for bench
(show) competition. Therefore, if you are adopting a puppy from
Liberty Creek Labradors with the intent to show and/or breed it is essential that you communicate this to
me prior to purchasing the dog.

A Dog's Plea
Treat me kindly, my beloved friend, for no heart in all the world
is more grateful for kindness than the loving heart of me.
Do not break my spirit with a stick, for though I should lick your
hand between blows, your patience and understanding will more
quickly teach me the things you would have me learn.
Speak to me often, for your voice is the world's sweetest music, as
you must know by the fierce wagging of my tail when your footstep
falls upon my waiting ear.
Please take me inside when it is cold and wet, for I am a
domesticated animal no longer accustomed to bitter elements. I ask
no greater glory than the privilege of sitting at your feet beside
the hearth.
Keep my pan filled with fresh water, for I cannot tell you when I
suffer thirst.
Feed me clean food that I may stay well to romp and play and do your
bidding, to walk by your side, and stand ready, willing and able to
protect you with my life, should your life be in danger.
And my friend, when I am very old and I no longer enjoy good health,
hearing and sight, do not make heroic efforts to keep me going - I
am not having any fun. Please see that my trusting life is taken
gently. I shall leave this earth knowing with the last breath I draw
that my fate was always safest in your hands.
